Beyerdynamic DT 880 PRO Review The Beyerdynamic DT 880 Pro terminate in a 1/8th-inch TRS plug, threaded for a 1/4-inch adapter for high-end/high-output systems. You'll need an amp for these babies to get the most out of them, and that's really not much of a surprise. With dynamic [...]

But the Beyer DT880's are sauce though. Trust that
This collection of oldie-but-goodie headphones are still more than worthy contenders when compared against the best of the latest headphones. The original Beyerdynamic DT 880 over-the-ear headphone was introduced in 1980. This isn't a headphone for bass lovers, and the treble can be overzealous, but matched with a Schiit Valhalla 2 headphone amp the sound takes on a luscious quality... The DT 880 Edition is available in three different impedances: 32, 250 and 600 ohms. All three models sell for the same price: $299. These made in Germany, open-back, high-impedance (300 ohm) headphones have served as a reference standard for countless audiophiles since 1998. They are supremely comfortable and accurate, so they...
I've been listening to the Audeze Deckard for months on my desktop, and I've taken it for granted. It was just there, doing its job so well that I didn't really think about how it sounded, but when I started paying attention to write this review I really came to appreciate what the Deckard does. In case you were wondering, the Deckard is a combination headphone amp, stereo preamp and USB digital converter. Audeze sells the Deckard direct for $699 with free shipping in the US, and it's £599 in the UK. This crisply designed amp sports two inputs -- USB and stereo analog RCA -- and there are stereo RCA analog preamplifier outputs on the rear panel. I stuck with medium gain for my headphone and desktop speaker listening sessions.

Do I need an amp to run these headphones? After I found out my motherboard, MSI Z97 Gaming 3, can handle upto 600ohm, I ordered a pair of Beyerdynamic DT880 600ohm. After some googling, many people say that even if it can handle that much, doesnt mean you should use so high ohm headphones with it ... [...]

DT 880 , DT990 or Blue MO/FI but between all three beyers, I'd take the 880. Good thing about beyer: same product for ages, you can buy every part separately even in a hundred years to exchange foams, earcups, headband... - The Blue thing (I always hated their microphones...) [...]
Beyerdynamic DT 880 PROThe best of both worlds,Beyerdynamic's DT 880 fuses the spatial atmospherics of and open-back, transparent design with heavy, more powerful bass response of the closed-back relation. Semi-open design allows for an incredible frequency range which is ideal for studio monitoring due to the analytical qualities. Moreover, the DT-880 has become big amongst audio professionals doing analytical recording work who demand timbral accuracy, instrumental detail, and...
With a few exceptions, all of these DAC/amp combos sound really similar, so if you are concerned about audio quality, most any of these models will work just fine. What differentiates them is the combination of features, ease of use, and price. But really, excluding a few duds, if you prefer any of these designs over our picks, and you need a DAC/amp, that’s fine—they sound pretty much the same.If you can find a good price and the device meets your needs, any of the following four models...
While Beyerdynamic may not be as well known as its German brother, Sennheiser, the audio company has a history of creating some of the best sounding audio gear on the market – the company’s DT770, DT880 and DT990 were renown for their excellent build and sound quality. Trust us, there’s a very good reason why many audio engineers choose Beyerdynamic for monitoring and mastering sound. The headset we’re looking at today, the DT 1990 Pro, are an open-back version of the Beyerdynamic DT...
The search for the perfect headphones can feel like a never-ending journey. And since everyone has different tastes, it’s impossible for someone else to recommend the perfect cans for you. But world be damned, I’ve found mine, and I’m never giving them up.Every audiophile’s headphone journey is different, but it usually goes a little something like this: Buy cheap pair of over-ear headphones. Be blown away. Get sucked into the world of headphones by buying something a little more expensive....
